For what I’ve been loving this Fall:
Turtles All The Way Down
by: John Green
Whenever anyone ever asks me for a book recommendation, I typically always say “any one of John Greene’s books.” I mean, they are that good. This one has to be one of my favorites he’s done. An intense, heartbreaking, and realistic look into mental illness, and the realities and hardships people face each day because of them.

Big Little Lies
By: Liane Moriarty
You have most-likely seen this show, heard about this show, or have a friend that hasn’t stopped talking about this show. Basically: this show is more popular than a BevMo on a Friday night. I personally have not watched the show, but ya bet I read the book! (I typically work this way). And, it was fantastic. Truly. Like a Real Housewives spin ft. murder and suspense. I do not know how it compares to the show, but I do know I was not able to put it down!

No seriously.. what the f*ck happened is something the majority of us have been saying since last year’s gross presidential election. I, for one, am still feeling depressed about Tr*mp becoming president, and it just seems as if everything keeps getting worse. I mean, WE FREAKING WARNED YOU. This book was a more laid-back, vulnerable, and honest look into the 2016 presidential campaign that gave me insight into what was going on behind the scenes. It also made me v v emotional, so be prepared.

You Are a Badass at Making Money
By: Jen Sincero
Okay, so before diving into this one: I 10/10 recommend reading her first one, “You Are A Badass.” It literally awoken my inner-girlboss immediately after reading it and I have been contemplating re-reading it this Fall! This book, similar to her first, is perfect for us #twentysomethings who may feel like we are working hard but our bank account isn’t flowing like it should be. I mean, we’ve all been here, right? Jen’s writing style is straight to the point, relatable, and leaves you feeling all ~types~ of ways. There are tips and doable exercises that really get the ball rolling, and the inspiration you feel after each chapter is unlike anything else.

A more light-hearted read about a girl trying to find her authentic self among the big city life. This book takes place in Hollywood, a city that has always caught my eye and a place I have had a weird obsession with since.. well since forever. Los Angeles, celebrity scandals, inner-struggles, and a little bit of suspense. You know, all things that make a freaking bomb read! You’ll be engaged the whole way through.

These are just a few of my favorite books I have read this Fall, but the cold and rainy season is just beginning here in San Francisco, so you already know I am going to need a lot more to get me back!
In the comments, let me know what your favorite reads have been. I like books of all shapes, sizes and themes, so throw them all my way!
PS: For a trip down memory lane, here are the books I was loving when I *first* started this blog. Can you believe it’s been a couple years? Me neither. Freaking 20’s just FLY BY.
